The school offers, upon request, an accommodation search assistance service for its students. This service is free of charge and available exclusively to those enrolled in our courses.

Here’s how it works

the service

The school receives the student’s request and searches through its network of host families and apartment owners.

Once suitable accommodation is found, the school sends photos and details to the student.

The student is free to accept or decline the suggested accommodation. If accepted, the school will ask the property to reserve it and put the student in direct contact.

From this moment on, all communications and necessary formalities will take place directly between the property and the student.

Payment and any required contract must be made directly between the student and the host. In case of accommodation in a host family, payment can be made through the school. In this case, 22% VAT will be applied according to current regulations.

Homestay Accommodation

Living with a family is an excellent opportunity to learn Italian in Florence and experience local daily life up close. It’s important to respect different rules and habits.

Florentine host families welcoming international students can be young, elderly, with or without children, or single individuals. We recommend booking in advance, as the school cannot guarantee last-minute availability.

Bed and Breakfast

Includes a bedroom and breakfast prepared by the family. Use of the kitchen by the student is not allowed.

Half Board

Includes bedroom, breakfast, and dinner prepared by the family. Use of the kitchen by the student is not allowed.

Room with Kitchen Use

Includes a bedroom and use of the kitchen to prepare meals, in agreement with the family’s schedule and rules.

Some host families live in the historic center, about a 10–20 minute walk from the school. Others live in residential areas outside the center, reachable by tram or bus in about 20–30 minutes.

Rooms can be single or double.

Bathrooms may be shared with the family or with other students living in the apartment. Private bathrooms are available in some cases.

Wi-Fi service is available in most apartments.

Room rental usually runs from the Sunday before the course starts until the Saturday after it ends.

Use of appliances such as the washing machine or iron is subject to the family’s rules.

Bed linen is provided by the family.

Room in Apartment

This is a room with kitchen use in an apartment shared with other international or Italian students. It offers a certain level of independence, but you must be ready to respect the habits and customs of people from different parts of the world. This type of accommodation is rarely available for short stays of 1 to 4 weeks. It is more suitable for long-term stays, minimum 4 weeks. It is highly requested in Florence, so it is advisable to book well in advance. The school cannot guarantee availability for last-minute requests. Payment for the accommodation is made directly to the landlord, who is also responsible for signing the contract.

Some apartments are located 10 to 20 minutes on foot from the school. Others are in residential areas outside the historic center, reachable by tram or bus in about 20–30 minutes.

The kitchen and common areas are shared with other students.

The bathroom may be shared or, in some cases, private.

Wi-Fi service is available in most homes.

Electricity, water, and gas bills are generally included in the monthly rent.

A cash deposit is generally required as a guarantee against possible damages.

Independent Apartment

Private apartments can be studios, one-bedroom, or larger flats. Prices vary depending on the area and the requested period. This is naturally the most comfortable solution, offering students maximum independence. There are several platforms and agencies, also online, through which students can book accommodation. It is generally the easiest type of lodging to find. The school can provide, upon request, contacts of reliable landlords and agencies. Payment for accommodation is made directly to the property owner, who is also responsible for signing the contract.
