This course combines the study of Italian with a passion for jewelry making. It’s ideal if you want to improve your language skills during your stay in Florence while enjoying a creative and artistic experience. The general Italian lessons will help you communicate, work, or travel in Italy, while the jewelry workshop is open to everyone, from beginners to professionals.
Enroll in the CourseThe course will help you improve all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. You’ll focus on the practical aspects of the language useful in everyday life, developing your spoken Italian and deepening your knowledge of Italian culture.
The Italian lessons combine communication and grammar in an ideal balance, and at all levels, you’ll always use Italian in class. Great attention is given to expanding your vocabulary so you can speak more fluently. If you’re a beginner, you’ll start learning Italian from the basics and notice progress within the first few weeks. If you already have some knowledge of the language, the course content will be adjusted to your level, from A1 to C2. On average, it takes about six weeks to complete each level, although higher levels may require more time.
In the jewelry lessons, you’ll either be introduced to or refine techniques such as stone setting, engraving, gemology, wax modeling, drawing, piercing, and restoration, guided by expert teachers who will accompany you in creating original and unique pieces.
For the language course, you’ll join a group of up to 10 people in a comfortable and relaxed environment. The jewelry lessons will take place in a specialized school, where you’ll be guided by an experienced teacher. We’ll provide you with the textbook and all necessary materials. The teacher will use an iPad, and after each lesson, you’ll receive a PDF with the contents covered. At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate of attendance.
In the afternoon or during the weekend, if you wish, you can take part in our activities — three per week — organized and led by the school’s teachers. You’ll make new friends, get to know Florence and its surroundings better, explore various aspects of Italian culture, and have fun while practicing the language.
