This course allows you to focus on studying the Italian language in the first part of the day and then dedicate yourself to opera singing lessons. It’s a general Italian course that will help you improve your overall language skills. The singing lessons are designed for opera enthusiasts, both amateurs and professionals. The course is suitable for students of all levels.
Enroll in the CourseThe Italian course will help you improve all four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. You will focus on the practical aspects of the language that are useful in everyday life, developing spoken Italian skills and deepening your knowledge of Italian culture. The Italian lessons combine communication and grammar in an ideal combination and, at all levels, you will always use the Italian language in class.
If you are a beginner, you will start learning Italian from the basics and you will see progress already after the first weeks. If you already have knowledge of the language, the contents will be suited to the level of your course, from A1 to C2. To complete each level you will need on average 6 or 8 weeks, but you may need more time for the higher levels.
The singing lessons are tailored to your needs. They develop around themes such as diction and phonetics, study of the language of librettos in its diachronic and literary dimension, guided paths on dramaturgy and Opera roles.
For the Italian course you will be in a group of up to 10 people in a comfortable and relaxing environment. We will provide you with the textbook and all useful materials. The teacher will use an iPad and after each lesson you will receive a PDF with the contents of the lesson itself. At the end of the course you will have a certificate of attendance.
For the private singing lessons you will be followed by a true professional, qualified and experienced, who will tailor a personalized path for you.
In the afternoon or during the weekend, if you wish, you will be able to participate in our activities, 3 per week, organized and led by the school’s teachers. You will make friends with other students, get to know Florence and its surroundings better, deepen various aspects of Italian culture, and enjoy yourself while practicing the Italian language.
