This course combines the study of Italian with private Art History lessons. It’s ideal for those who want to improve their language skills while staying in Florence and explore the city’s artistic heritage in depth. The general Italian lessons help you communicate and gain a deeper understanding of Italian culture, while the Art History lessons are suitable for both enthusiasts and professionals.
Enroll in the CourseThe course will help you improve all four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. You will focus on the practical aspects of the language that are useful in everyday life, developing spoken Italian skills and deepening your knowledge of Italian culture.
The Italian lessons combine communication and grammar in an ideal combination and, at all levels, you will always use the Italian language in class. Plenty of space will be dedicated to expanding your vocabulary in order to speak Italian more fluently. If you are a beginner, you will start learning Italian from the basics and you will see progress already after the first weeks. If you already have knowledge of the language, the contents will be suited to the level of your course, from A1 to C2.
To complete each level you will need on average 6 weeks, but you may need more time for the higher levels. The art history lessons are built around your goals and interests. They can prepare you for an academic path in the artistic field or guide you in discovering Florentine monuments and masterpieces if art is simply your passion.
For the language course you will be placed in a group of up to 10 people in a comfortable and relaxing environment. For the private art history lessons you will have an expert teacher who will guide you both in class and around the city. We will provide you with the textbook and all useful materials. The teacher will use an iPad and after each lesson you will receive a PDF with the contents of the lesson itself. At the end of the course you will have a certificate of attendance.
In the afternoon or during the weekend, if you wish, you will be able to participate in our activities, 3 per week, organized and led by the school’s teachers. You will make friends with other students, get to know Florence and its surroundings better, deepen various aspects of Italian culture, and enjoy yourself while practicing the Italian language.
