This course allows you to learn Italian while immersing yourself completely in the beauty of Italian art. We recommend it if you are passionate about art or if you are curious to learn the language in a different way, discovering the artistic and historical heritage of Florence. It is suitable for students who already have a basic knowledge of Italian, starting from level A2.
Enroll in the CourseThe course will enable you to progress in the study and knowledge of Italian, in the comprehension and production of the language, and to deepen your understanding of the various aspects of Italian art.
You will focus on topics related to art history and, through them, you will also work on grammatical and lexical structures. The linguistic content will be adapted to your level of language proficiency, from A2 to C2. The historical and artistic content will focus particularly on the development of art (architecture, sculpture, painting) between the Middle Ages and the Florentine Renaissance. You will visit the city’s museums and discover the masterpieces that make Florence one of the world’s art capitals.
You will have classes both in the classroom and in museums, churches, palaces and squares around the city. Florence, an open-air museum, will become your school. You will be in a small group, with a maximum of 10 students, in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We’ll provide you with the textbook and all necessary materials. The teacher will use an iPad, and after each class, you will receive a PDF with the contents. At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance.
In the afternoon or during the weekend, if you wish, you can take part in our activities (three per week), organised and led by the school’s teaching staff. You will make new friends, delve deeper into various aspects of Italian culture, and have fun while practising your Italian.
